Be polite. Be inclusive. Be respectful. Don't spam. Don't advertise. Don't pressurise. Just be lovely!
january 3rd 2012: éter Click here to vote for the events you'd like to see being used for the site's 5th birthday celebrations!
january 2nd 2012: éter Woohoo, welcome to 2012, everyone! <3 A new year for us also means a new year for our characters, so give 'em some resolutions! ;-) Really just a quickie update to say hello, seeing as I haven't in a while (!), and to remind you all about the 8th Activity Check, in which you have to have an active thread per character. Check it owt if you don't wanna be deleted, guys! Ooh, and give us some help thinking up some ideas for WA's 5th birthday party - before the poll is put up tomorrow! <3
november 26th 2011: éter Just a quick note to say that we only lost a few in the last Activity Check, which is fabulous! And also, seeing as the Awards have just been determined, congratulations are in order for Calcifer, Zephyr, Bellatrix, Juliette and Oldie! Well done, guys - keep up the good work!
november 13th 2011: éter The 7th Activity Check is now in full swing, and you have just under a week to save your characters from being deleted! Also, I have been doing an insane amount of advertising recently, which has resulted in several wonderful new members!! So, be sure to say hello to, plot with and help them out if they need it. :-)
october 31st 2011: éter Haaaappy Halloween, my lovelies! Well done for doing your activating on our 6th Activity Check - we're stronger than ever! Hope you're all having fun today, but don't forget - there are events going on here, too! And they are as follows: 1) The 2nd half of the auction: The Charity Dinner! This is when you spend the time with the person you've bought. ;-) Roleplaying will commence from October 31st - November 10th. 2) Kat Audley's Halloween House Party (roleplaying from October 31st - November 7th)! And last but not least, 3) The Incongruous and Unorthodox Goings-On, which will begin to be recorded from November 14th onwards... So, post away in these events, please!
october 7th 2011: éter It's been a month since I last updated this, eek! But heyho. I think we all know it's been a bit hectic recently, what with school starting up again. But we still managed to keep y'all with that 5th Activity Check and grade update of ours! Anyway, now that we've all settled back into regular life post-summer, I think it's time for an event. Yes, an event! How exciting. c: Well, I'll let you all know a little more soon... perhaps... later this weekend? ;-)
august 7th 2011: éter I've put up the Award nomination post! Please take the time to vote - and remember: any votes made after August the 11th will not be counted! <3
august 3rd 2011: éter In case you guys hadn't noticed, the 4th Activity Check is up and running! It will end on August the 11th, so please don't forget, my lovelies!
july 30th 2011: éter Sorry it's taken me so long to update here - babysitting, parties, dance shows and being ill seem to have zapped the time away! It's the halfway point of summer now and we've gotten a fair few new, lovely members! So welcome, y'all! Plus, I'll be setting up an Activity Check later today, by the way - so keep your eyes peeled. Not to mention, Sunny will hopefully be introducing a fabulous event soon! Stick around, wastelings~
june 15th 2011: sunny Staff are currently looking into a way to incorporate all members in a summer event! Watch this space... some of the ideas are great. Also, if you're looking to make a new character, please consider making a Faculty Member or a Freshman, we are really low on 'em!
june 2nd 2011: éter Just a quick notice to welcome two long-established members, Dawn and Marley, to the staff team! They have both proved themselves to be incredibly dedicated when it comes to WA and we are lucky to have them as our snazzy new Mods! Congratulations, you two.
may 20th 2011: éter Today, I took a break from revision (only 5 exams left!), and posted our 3rd Activity Check and fiddled around with the skin's text/link colours and member group colours. So I hope you activate your characters and like the colourful new tack! Also, we now have a new "lower case first middle last" system name-wise, but I've done that for all the current activated accounts already! Because I'm procrastinating. 28 days until I officially return...
april 7th 2011: éter It's been a month since my birthday, hehe! Anyway, in other news, we have 26 members with registered characters at the momento (we'll see how that fares through our 2nd Activity Check, which I'll put up soon)! And if that's not a cause for celebration, then I don't know what is! So yay! I've also set up an "Open Threads" post, which is an announcement on all boards, so check it out! Over and out.
march 14th 2011: éter Thank you to everyone who's hanging on in here! We only lost a couple of members in the activity check, and that's so fabulous, eeee! <3 I'm so proud!
february 14th 2011: éter Happy Valentine's, darlings! Just a note to remind y'all to activate all your characters in our very 1st version four Activity Check! Because it ends on February the 18th. c;
january 10th 2011: sunny Please welcome our new Mod, Meg! I have made her a site graphic so it's now official. Don't forget to post your shippers and character requests and get RPing and promoting! Cheers!
december 28th 2010: éter Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Crimbo! I have to say the best Christmas present was obviously setting this new site for Whittington up for you guys. Anyway, just to say welcome, one and all, to the wasted youth!
december 22nd 2010: éter Whittington Academy, version 4, is now open, wastelings! Welcome to the waste. :-)
december 15th 2010: sunny Everything is starting to come together. I have just started making the skin for the new site, and Éter has been working really hard behind the scenes. Shouldn't be too long now!
december 5th 2010: éter Things are plodding along very nicely behind the scenes. I know having the v4 site in Maintenance Mode is more annoying than me accidentally deleting the sidebars on the v3 site (!), but I'm not quite ready for everyone to see this yet, but it's more exciting like this, right?! Can't wait for you all to see this!
Our skin and the vast majority of the other miscellaneous image/text graphics around the site were all produced by and credited to Éternel - anything not made by her was likely created by Sunshine!
A couple of skeletal ideas on the site were originally brought around by the previous administrator, Logan, however they have since been adjusted by the current staff team. As for the role-plays, they are copyright to the members participating in the specific thread, of course!
a student's guide Any key information is kept here. So, basically: the rule book; background plotline; character ratios; cliques; open thread list; and Q&A/FAQ. Also, any Activity Checks, announcements or sitewide plots will be posted in this board. It is necessary for you to read all topics here in depth. If anything is unclear, message a staff member and it will be explained. c;
the principal's office This is where all the staff members come to plot against the members. Yes, we're secretly trying to fatten you up so that we can cook you up and eat you in a few weeks, you just can't tell because the staff members r hiding eet from chu! Mwahaha. Nah, really we're just discussing matters of the website and coming up with new snazzy secret storylines! Super exciting.

the garbage grapevine: loose lips Often referred to as "The GG" or simply "The Grapevine" amongst the people of Whittington, this is the blog sourcing all the latest gossip. Anyone can post gossip and anyone can read it too.
the exemplars Vote and view awards in this board! The awards include member, character, duo and thread. When the time is right, an admin will post a thread to signal that voting has started, and that means you can begin voting for your various favourites via a PM to the admin account. You can also see the complete list of every winner of every award Whittington Academy has run, even on the past two sites, as well as this one!
dead and gone Old threads must pass on eventually. Here you can view the ancient role-plays. If your topic is here and you wish to keep role-playing in it, please message a staff member and it will be moved to the appropriate board.
your propositions If you have an idea for how to make Whittington an even cooler place than it already is, as a member or guest, be sure to post it right here!
and who are you? PROBOARDS ROLE-PLAY GAME ADVERTISEMENTS ONLY, PLEASE!
Here is the only board in the whole site where you can advertise your roleplay game site. However, please ensure your site is active, abides by the ProBoards rules and that you have somewhere for us to link back our ad, before you even think about advertising here! ;-)
the wanted ads If your character needs a brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever you can create a topic here and request them. Someone's sure to pick them up!
create a character Come here (after you've read the rules!) to create your character. We don't do canons here at Whittington Academy, but that shouldn't be much of a problem, right? If you still get stuck for what kind of character to make, though, be sure to take up a character request from the board above - I guarantee it will be appreciated!!
cardinal high records If your character is of Cardinal origin, their accepted 'biography' will be moved here, into the relevant alphabetically-listed sub-board according to their member group.
plot your stories Here is where you can post a thread with information on all your characters, and work out some plots with other members, exciting stuff! Just remember, only one storyboard per member please, not one per character! This just means there are less threads for plotters to sift through and everyone only has one thread each, no matter how many characters they have. (:
graphics please Here is where members can set up their own thread allowing other members to request graphics from them. Take a look! However, if the post is locked, it means the member has shut their services for the time being.
keeping track of it all If you're the kind of person that usually has too many threads at one time, come here to post a tracker to keep track of them all. Nobody wants to be forgotten! Just remember, only one thread tracker per member please, not one per character!
miscellaneous palavas A place for all the members to chat out of character about anything you could possibly want! But please, keep it PG.

jetting off If you need a hiatus or you're popping off on holiday, definitely post here!! However be sure to put the date you will return in your title or your characters might be caught up in the delete section of an activity check, and no one wants that! ):
fun & games This is all just for some lols for the members! Take part in and post some thread games that other members can participate in. Otherwise known as the boredom/stress-reliever, and the muse-uplifter. Err... perhaps. Hooray for games!
ring-a-ling-a-ling-ling The board for all the characters' cell phones! Have them text message, call, BBM, video call, voicemail, picture message their friends. Or anything else you can think up do to with phones!
instant messaging Here, you can post instant messaging threads in order for your character to socialize with others via the means of the internet, woo! Just please remember to include the name of the recipient in the title!

social networks Social networking is taking over the world, so why shouldn't you have one? Sign up for Facebook and Twitter and keep in touch!
whittingtonboredom.com This is an online site where the characters post and partake in several games when bored and all that jazz - hence the name! Feel free to post your own games, just make sure you don't stretch the board please.
the front lawn Whether you're just arriving at hell Whittington Academy, or leaving school grounds, you'll pass by the front lawn. It's usually rather busy with all types of students bustling about.
parking lots For some reason, this place seems to be a favourite chill spot on campus for a lot of kids, especially skaters - who will be practicing their tricks, watch out you don't hit one while backing your car out! Or more importantly, make sure you don't get hit.
whittington gymnasium With the shiny wooden floors and bleachers, physical education classes take place here along with basketball, wrestling, and swim practice. After school, the gym is also available for use of Whittington residents.

the sports fields Whittington Academy is well known for its talented sports players. Come here to watch a game, or if you're on the team, practice and play in the game! Cheerleaders often practice here as well and are definitely here for games. Beware for an influx of Worns!
artibus opes auditorium Students talented in the performing arts can take drama classes here and then put on school productions. Red curtains hide the backstage and give a dramatic opening.
whittington lake The lake is surrounded by trees and it isn't uncommon to find teens having a picnic on the grass with their sweethearts. Games often take place here, and if you have a pet this is the recommended place to take it outside.

DOOR SWINGS AS THE MUSIC SWELLS OUT
offices If you're wondering where the secretary, security guards, pastoral carer and nurse hide away, here's where you can find them! Situated at the front entrance of the school are four offices - one for the secretary, one for the security guards, and two conjoined rooms for the pastoral carer and nurse. So, if you ever need one of them, this is the place to come!

staff room After school or hours that they're not teaching, the faculty members of the school can be found here. There are vending machines, a kitchen area, a flat screen TV, and three couches. It is relatively close to the student lounge so they can keep an eye on them.

the student lounge Right outside the staff room is the student's lounge, a popular hangout place for the teens after school when they just need some down time. Some find it ironic that it is on the same floor as detention. There are two couches, two flat screen TVs (one hooked up with an Xbox 360), a pool table, a foosball table, and a bookshelf. Like anybody's gonna read, pssh.

the cafeteria This school's cafeteria doesn't follow the whole stereotypical disgusting and unhealthy food idea. The meals are actually delicious here considering it is Whittington Academy, one of the top boarding schools in L.A. Even if they're delicious, they're twice the price than public school food... But that shouldn't be a problem. You're probably here because you're rich anyway!

west wing library The perfect place to come when you need a quiet place to study for an A on that assignment. You are guaranteed this is the place to think, since the librarian is pretty strict and hounds you if you cause a ruckus of any kind and promptly assigns you a detention slip... Bring your study groups here just as long as you promise to keep quiet. Science fairs are common here and art projects are displayed in glass cases along the walls where there around shelves with thousands of books. You should also note that this place is open to the entire neighborhood - there isn't enough space to fit a library in central Whittington. So naturally, they take advantage of this one... Students will just have to deal with it, I suppose.

detention rooms Good going. You got yourself in detention... again. Time seems to pass the slowest in this room; a few minutes feel like hours. No talking, or the detention ward can sign you another slip. However, he has a habit of walking out of the room for coffee runs, doughnut runs, sandwich runs, and whatever else he wants. So half the time you guys aren't even supervised.

the courtyard This is probably the most secluded spot at Whittington Academy, even more solitary than the silent library. A lot of students find the courtyard a bit spooky since it usually happens to be dark with vines growing on the brick walls of the school, but it's perfect if you need a place to think and avoid others for a while.
english block Don't you know English is the most important subject at school? That's what the teachers will tell you, anyway. Also called language arts, this class will teach you how to improve your reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary. The specific topics covered are Journalism, Public Speaking, Debating, Literature, Technical Writing, and Creative Writing. Also, you can take part in Publishing Club outside of classes, which consists of producing the school newspaper, yearbook and, occasionally, television productions.

science laboratories Learn how to think analytically, apply theories to reality, and figure out how everything is supposed to work in real life; scientifically. Seeing as the teachers usually try to keep the class interesting by giving the students experiments and hands-on activities, this subject's bearable. Classes consist of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Anatomy, Astronomy, Health Science, and Forensic Science.

social studies hall Brace yourself. Here the teachers will positively enthrall you with the wonders of social studies - World History, U.S. History, Economics, Law, Sociology, and Psychology are all offered for you. Also, the compulsory Health and Wellness courses are carried out here. They touch base on things such as basic anatomy, nutrition, first aid, sex ed and how to make responsible decisions regarding illegal drugs, tobacco, and alcohol.
mathematics department Learn and study numbers, equations, functions, and geometric shapes and their relationships. The classes offered include Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics... and then, after school, you can sign up to some of the additional math-based business education lessons taught at the Academy: Entrepreneurship, General Business, Management Skills, Marketing, and Secretarial Studies. Basically, this has to be one of the dullest subjects at the Academy.

visual arts centre Got a knack for art? Here you can take multiple art classes, such as Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Photography, and Art History. The walls and tables are covered in paint and the room is very bright and colorful. The art teachers are cheerful and happy-go-lucky and tend to drive their students nuts.

performing arts studios The musically and dramatically talented come here to have classes from the teachers specifying in the likes of Choir, Drama, Band, Orchestra and Guitar - though the majority of the studios are dedicated to music, due to drama students also having the autitorium with which to practice in. The kids here tend to play and act their hearts out whenever possible, and there's even a recording booth so you can record your very own EP - for a small price. There are dozens of intruments and props scattered around the vicinity... so watch your step.
vocational education area You can learn about Woodworking, Metalworking, Automobile Repair, Agriculture, Cosmetology and even partake in Future Farmers of America or Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps schemes, here in the brand new dedicated block and surrounding exterior area for vocational education. You can also take family, consumer science and health-based subjects in these rooms, such as Nursing, Cuisine, and Child Development. These subjects tend to attract the super zany, creative type of teachers by the way. Hooray!

media technologies station Programming, Graphic Design, Music Production, Film Production, and Film Studies classes galore! New and shiny Gateway Notebooks clutter the vast room. They are all located on a cart and as long as you are accompanied by an authorized adult or have a pass, you are allowed to use the laptops. The carpet is a simple gray with white walls that fit in with all the technology in here. Computer Club is also run here during lunchtimes.

foreign languages building Lorem! Bonjour! Hallo! Ciao! ˇHola! Olá! In this class, there are many teachers, all of which teach a different language. Now, being a egotistical high school, Latin is compulsory here, but you can also take French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Greek, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Scandinavian, Hebrew, Slavic, and even American Sign Language. You just might end up learning it on the internet with an online abroad school, but hey, at least the school pays for that!

HOPE WE GOT THE HOUSE NUMBER RIGHT
fires in the dormitories Holy crap! Someone must have lit a match or a cigarette or something, because the majority of the Whittington Academy dormitory block is ablaze! How the heck are you gonna make your way out?!

whittington academy - staff dormitories For every level of dorms in the enormous dormitory block at Whittington Academy (there are ten dorms on each level), there are two staff dorms: one on the far right of the level, and one on the far left. No need to freak out - they act like Matrons. Just there to ensure no one's breaking any rules... though some staff members are easier to twist round your little finger than others. Especially seeing as most of them are only staying in these rooms for the free accomodation. Obviously, these rooms are for single-person use, but other than that, the furnishings are exactly the same as the students': one double bed, a desk, a chair, a sofa, a television and a fully kitted-out kitchen and bathroom.

whittington academy - boys' dormitories These dorms are all the same - blue walls and a clinically clean feel to everything. You have to share dorms at Whittington, there's no choice over that, but at least it's only with one other boy. The regulatory two double beds, two desks, two chairs, one sofa, one television and a fully kitted-out kitchen and bathroom is all you have in your dorm - and all you're allowed to have in it. No girls in boys' dorms after 8PM. Welcome home.
whittington academy - girls' dormitories These dorms are all the same - pink walls and a clinically clean feel to everything. You have to share dorms at Whittington, there's no choice over that, but at least it's only with one other girl. The regulatory two double beds, two desks, two chairs, one sofa, one television and a fully kitted-out kitchen and bathroom is all you have in your dorm - and all you're allowed to have in it. No boys in girls' dorms after 8PM. Welcome home.
whittington town - studio apartments Welcome to central Whittington! The views are fantastic; the city is a short hop, skip and jump away; the interior design of each room is flawlessly modern and elegent - and the rent prices are sky-high. The majority of the people who buy these stunnning, studio apartments have lived in Whittington all their lives and are wading in cash. However, perhaps if you club together with some friends, you can afford one?
cardinal estate - cheap flats Living in the Cardinal Estate in a shoddy, unkempt flat is by far the most cost-effective way of living in Whittington. Living here is often the only choice seniors and college students have while they're studying here, as it means they have more money for party- I mean, for their study material. After all, they just have to scrape by until they graduate, then they're outta there. However, living in these blocks of flats is the harsh reality for some, as it's all they can afford.
whittington town - suburban houses If you've got the money, these come in all shapes and sizes to cater for your needs. There are smaller (but still expensive) ones available perfect for first time buyers, middling sizes for small families or a few housemates and, of course, the huge mansions for those with far too much money on their hands. Take your pick! Just be sure to bear the hefty price tags in mind.
cardinal estate - council houses These houses were built with the local council's money (otherwise known as your tax money), for the purpose of housing families in need of a safe, warm, clean environment to live in. Nowadays, they stay roughly true to that form - save a few houses notorious for housing squatters. This is mainly because a lot of the people round here can't afford to maintain the house once they've received it. But for those lucky few who've secured a house and can upkeep it, this estate is home to them.
whittington town - hotel adaggio This hotel is one of the finest in all of Whittington - and California! It's sister hotel, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, boasts one of the most spectacular grades in America. From the Adaggio's fine marble floors to it's pristine chandeliers, it oozes quality and life. Maybe you can afford to spend a night here? ...Or maybe not.
cardinal estate - mo's motel Mo is one of a kind. A sleazy character with one desire; to make money. His motel is... okay. It doesn't boast the nicest food or ratings, let's say. And it's, err, certainly lucky to have the one star it does... but at least it's cheap, right?

WE FEEL SO DAMN INVINCIBLE
california state road Often called Highway 1, this state road is a highway that runs along much of the Pacific coast of the U.S. state of California. It is famous for running along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the USA, leading to its designation as an All-American Road.It runs past a variety of destinations in Whittington, including the park, beach and many of the tourist attractions. However, the blind bends and cliffside drops can make it quite a hazardous rout, but hey, feel free to go for a road trip.
whittington town hall: valentine's ball Standing completely separate from all other buildings within central Whittington is the elaborate, expensive town hall. This is where all the themed activities and site-wide events happen in Whittington, from the Academy's balls to local concerts to formal dinners the local residents have organised - baiscally, it can be rented out by anyone, as long as they can afford it. It is huge and can accommodate the entire population of Whittington, whatever the occasion. Most of the spare money the town generates is spent on this place, and rightly so - it's the centrepiece of Whittington itself.
saint bibiana community college Once you're done with the Academy and want to stay in Whittington, where exactly do you go? St. Bibs, that's where. Well, unless you want to work - but surely here is better than working, right? At this amazingly expansive community college (the largest in the state!), they offer a whopping total of 65 courses - but only as associate degrees. That means you only get to spend a maximum of two years here... sucks, right? If you want to boost your education up any further than that, I'm afraid you'll have to look further than Whittington!

whittington airport If your characters are going anywhere outside of Whittington (even if they're not flying to their destinations), this is the place to post! Whittington town's airport is modestly sized - neither huge nor tiny - but with transfer flights to both bigger and smaller airports, the possibilities of where you travel to are endless! Providing you have the money, of course.
the city of angels hospital A rather insensitive name for a hospital, no? Nevertheless, if you are sick or injured yourself a bit beyond your own repair, you can come here and you'll be standing tall in no time! Well, not as tall as you were before of course, considering you would have lost a bit of mass...
state police station: investigation Crime is rife in Whittington just as much as anywhere else, no matter how much the residents try to hide it. Living next to the Cardinal estate doesn't help, but it's not just them causing all the trouble, as much as everyone likes to believe...

tourist attractions The tour agency here will help you locate everything you need for your holiday itinerary here at Whittington. Whether you're interested in museums and monuments; walking along the canal and the fairway; or venturing to the carnival, aquarium, zoo or waterpark... Everything you need for your holiday is here at Whittington.
whittington central mall This is possibly one of the most popular teen hangout spots; the mall. Shop at all your favorite stores. If you're attending Whittington Academy, you're most likely rich so you come here a lot, don't you? There is a place for every kind of teen here; preppy, emo, skater, jock... You'll fit in around here somewhere. Unless you're a loner, of course.
independent businesses Ever wonder where the independent businesses are in amongst the branded world we live in? Here, that's where! Businesses here range vastly: from small convienience stores, to tattoo parlours, to brick 'n' brack corner shops, to the small print rooms of the local newspaper, The Whit.
cardinal high ruins This is what remains of the school that infamously merged with the Academy. Currently, it's half destroyed and wholly discarded, with piles of rubble here, there and everywhere. The site is completely barren, and has been for nearly a month now. The council say the demolision work will resume soon, and hopefully so. Otherwise, who knows what trouble could be caused here?
local restaurants If the food court at the mall or cafeteria at Whittington Academy don't satisfy your taste buds, come to one of these restaurants for some real food. Unless you choose a fast food restaurant. We all know those greasy foods are awful for you, but oh so addicting.
la regalla cinema Watch the latest in theater movies here. This is one of the most cliche places teens bring their dates to, but they still do it. It's definitely a favorite teen hangout spot.

tower bar Just your typical L.A. bar... alcohol, cigarettes and pool tables. After midnight, you have to be 21 to get in and drink - but you can normally pass as long as you keep your hood up and act like you belong. Otherwise... I hear the bouncer takes twenty dollars for entry.
club corrupt Corrupt is the local Cardinal club, and the complete opposite of WA kids' comparably innocent Tower Bar. If you'd rather drink away your problems in the company of alcoholics and stoners with the entertainment of a fight or two, then welcome home.

woodland state park: crime scene Woodland State Park is one of the camping grounds that lovely California has. There is a clearing in the middle of the forest where camping is allowed with some grills that are already ready for you. Throughout the land there are different cabins for you to rent as well. So maybe you're one of those people who like the quiet, or want to get drunk in the forest. Either way, you'll have fun in this wildlife filled environment!

whittington rodeo arena For those country cowboys and girls, you can come to the rodeo arena for the show of your life! Everything the professionals do there is a risk and life threatening. You certainly won't be disappointed.

boss bridge This huge industrial bridge plays host to many things; teenage drinking, drug dealing, drug taking, a hideout away from the cops... the works. The area is grotty and the air smells like stale piss, but at least it's covered and relatively warm - even in the winter.
polar ice rink At the Polar Ice Rink, you can ice skate whether you're as good as a professional figure skater or an amateur that can hardly walk on the ice without falling. There are often ice skating competitions, and Whittington Academy ice hockey practices and games take place here most of the time.
the grizzly dock Named after the California state animal, the Grizzly Bear, is the Grizzly Dock. It extends outward on a massive lake and is a very quiet place. People like to go swimming around here since the water is very clear and clean.
paradise cove This is probably the nicest and quietest beach in Los Angeles, making for the best beach experience you can have. It is never overcrowded. There is a restaurant named after the beach right off it.
the playground Not even a Cardinal mother would risk taking her child to this apparently harmless playground. The tweens of the community have taken ownership of the area, using it almost as a second home. The former amusements are graffiti'd and battered and really not worth riding on.
rosewood park Wide open space and clean fresh cut grass is welcoming to any person, student or local. There is a playground and fields for sports such as baseball and soccer, as well as some wooden park benches scattered around.
the back streets This is the "bad side" of town, and the home of many Cardinals. Gangs, drug dealers and street fights are common here - even the cops don't come here unless they have to. Come at your own risk, rich kids aren't appreciated here... at all.
